10,542 SF under air. This beautiful Key West Plantation style home was built mid 2000’s for a family of five. Built on 3-1/2 lots along the New River just south of downtown Fort Lauderdale, in the Rio Vista Community. The view of the expansive New River was the focal point of this project. Designed by Bob Tuthill of Tuthill Architecture. This home is not short on woodwork and custom built-in cabinetry. The landscaping was imperative in this project and enormous old growth oak trees were shipped down from Northern Florida to make the house feel it had been there for years. The backyard reminds you of a plantation style home dropped in the Florida Keys. Beautiful coconut palms and other exotic tropical plants create an oasis of a backyard. A new concrete seawall and dock were constructed the entire length of the property.
